Why "unfinished"
This space is called what it is because that’s exactly what it holds: thinking, published before it’s finished.
The usual instinct is to wait: flesh the idea out, structure it, make it defensible, then publish. I think that instinct is quietly expensive, and getting more expensive. Polish is cheap now; AI can polish anything. What can’t be generated is the baseline: the original observation, written down while it’s still alive. An unfinished thought published today can become a bet, a system, or an essay two years from now. A thought that waited for polish usually becomes nothing.
So, the rules here:
- The baseline is mine. AI may help shape a sentence. It will never supply the thought.
- Small is legitimate. Three sentences about garbage-collector pause times count. So does a half-formed idea about where agents are going, or something true about life that week.
- Unfinished is not careless. Everything here is honestly thought, just not fully grown. Some entries will be revisited and contradicted later. That’s the record working.
